Tips to Stick to Your New Year's Resolution

There are many ways to to be successful with your goals in fitness, health, wellness and just life this new year! Here are Team KPF's 6 best tips!
One at a time - You may have more than one goal to achieve this new year. But you won't be very successful in you try to do them all at the same time. Most likely these goals will require new habits that don't happen over night (Sorry, it takes longer than 21 days!) So, pick one goal and focus on the habits you need to achieve that goal before you start trying to tackle all of them.
Set Process Goals - "Trust the Process". "Fall in love with the journey". Sounds cliche but these phrases are true. The end goal should always be in your mind but set yourself some goals along thew ay to getting there. A process. goal allows you to get a "win" throughout the journey to help you stay motivated. We established that it won't be a quick process so make it a fun one!

Create a "Truthful" Support System - No goal can be reached without a support system. But that support system needs to be one that will keep you aware of your success but alls o when you may fall a little short of the task at hand. This support system will also motivate you to stay on track towards those goals.
Complete Daily/Weekly/ Task - Set the big picture goal but remember this goal will not magically happen overnight. At the beginning of each week set an individual daily goal that aligns with the overall goal. Reaching the big goal starts with completing these small goals. (i.e. - 15 minutes of movement daily)
Be willing to refine - Let's be real, what in life actually goes as planned? Not much! It's okay if you run into obstacles or problems along the journey. Don't be discouraged if you have to make small changes or go off course a little bit. The process of achieving the goal might change but the end rustle will remain the same. Remember, there is more than one way to achieve a goal!
Do it for you! - Because WHO CARES what others think of you?! Set a goal that YOU want to achieve and that will make YOU happy! If you do this, both the journey and the end result will change your life for the better. If you love what you're doing and how it's making you feel than you will want to stick to it and continue the journey.
