KPF Athletes Participate in BMW Charity Pro-Am

Carson Young (left) a year round KPF athlete, Jimmy Stanger (center) and Blayne Barber (right), who train at KPF when playing in or near town, competed in the BMW Charity Pro-Am June 10th - 13th.

The tournament is an annual tournament hosted by Thorneblade Country Club as part of the Korn Ferry Tour. The Korn Ferry Tour is a breeding ground for aspiring PGA Tour players.

Carson qualified for the event by winning a qualifier that Thornblade against 9 other top pros from the Upstate of South Carolina.

Of the three men, Carson and Blayne missed the cut while Jimmy finished tied for 8th.

Carson is now in his second week of the Forme Tour, formerly known as the Makenzie Tour from Canada.

KPF athlete John Whatley was a caddie during the event for celebrity player and former MLB Pitcher David Wells who aced the final whole.
